The Hilton Costa Mesa, our Southern California Conference venue, is entirely book for Thursday night, April 20. We have made arrangement for overflow at the Holiday Inn Costa Mesa which is located directly across the street from the Hilton. The Holiday Inn will honor the conference rate of $97 per night. The Holiday Inn also has rooms available for Friday and Saturday nights, April 21 & 22. To make reservations at the Holiday Inn, call 714-557-3000. The Hilton Costa Mesa still has rooms available for Friday and Saturday nights (April 21 & 22). If you would like to book rooms at the Hilton, call 714-540-7000. Both the Hilton Costa Mesa and the Holiday Inn are booked from Sunday night (April 23) on and we have blocked rooms at the Anaheim DoubleTree, at the conference rate of $97 per night, for anyone who would like to go to Disneyland on Monday (April 24) or stay in the area longer. To make your reservations with the DoubleTree, call 714-634-4500. We will assist you in getting from Costa Mesa to Anaheim. With all of the hotels, you will need to indicate that our are with "SDI" to receive the special rate.
Workshop Proposals for 2007 Conference
Consider submitting a proposal for the 2007 Conference in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The theme of the 2007 conference is "Coming Home to the Cosmos." Dr. Brian Swimme will be our keynote speaker and Alexandra Kovats, CSJP will be our conference Spiritual Director. Submission Guidelines are available online at http://sdiworld.org/2006_event/submission-guidelines.html. We are accepting proposals now and would like to receive as many as possible before the Conference in April. The absolute deadline for proposals in May 15 but this late deadline is primarily to make sure anyone attending conference for the first time has time to submit a proposal if so inspired. The Vancouver selection process must be completed by mid-June and the Workshop Solicitation and Selection Committee needs adequate time to consider proposals before determination. Your support in getting proposals in ahead of deadline is greatly appreciated.
