The SDI Fundraising Academy is designed to complement the Fundraising from the Heart workshop by Lynne Twist offered the weekend before the SDI Fundraising Academy. While participation in the Fundraising from the Heart workshop is encouraged, it is not required to register for the SDI Fundraising Academy. SDI is collaborating with Upaya Zen Center to offer you this affordable three-day immersion in fundraising, intentionally designed to deepen and augment your skills: weekend with Lynne Twist followed by one day with Susan Howlett.

Susan Howlett has been raising money joyfully for over forty years, as a board member, development director, executive director, and consultant to more than a thousand nonprofits nationwide. Susan has served for twenty years as core faculty in the University of Washington’s year-long fundraising course and has written two highly acclaimed books, Getting Funded and Boards on Fire. She speaks, trains, and consults nationally, known for her practical solutions to age-old problems, and her liberal use of stories, fun exercises, and chocolate.
