SDI Learns From... Rev. Margaret Guenther and Christopher McCauley

Rev. Margaret Guenther and Christopher McCauley speak candidly about the power of mutual listening, human brokenness, and the value of story.

Rev. Margaret Guenther, PhD, is a teacher, Episcopal priest, writer, listener, and grandmother. Author of several seminal books, Holy Listening: The Art of Spiritual Direction is a contemporary classic in the field of spiritual direction. She lives in Washington, DC.

Christopher McCauley is executive director of Stillpoint: The Center for Christian Spirituality, in Pasadena, California, USA, and directs Stillpoint at Ghost Ranch, a formation program in New Mexico. He is a spiritual director and leads retreats and pilgrimages in various parts of the world.  He serves on the Coordinating Council of Spiritual Directors International.

Tip: to play videos smoothly without experiencing interruptions or pauses, allow the video time to load. Press pause after the video starts playing, and you will see a light red bar move along the bottom of the video screen to show you how much of the video is loaded, or buffered. Allowing the video time to buffer before you play it will help it run more smoothly!
